In its sixth year, Reading Contemporary Art Fair has grown to be one of a handful of the nation’s most influential art fairs. Determined to break down barriers and make affordable art accessible to all, the fair is a treasure trove of paintings, prints, drawings, sculpture, ceramics and photography.
With over 100 exhibitors, as diverse as local photographer, Tom Way, to Manchester fine artist, Helen Parsley; local mixed media artist, Lisa Marie Gibbs, to West Country artist Jim Munnion. Eve Olsen sculptures, to glass pieces by Sandra Callowhill and landscape inspired jewellery by Christine Savage. All creating a stimulating environment, the weekend is a place for art buyers of all experiences and tastes to indulge a passion.
On the Saturday and Sunday you can also join the creative workshops in "Aunt Elsie's Parlour" run by Jelly. This is your chance to gain hands-on experience in a variety of mediums from dry point etching to collage, drawing with ink to how to create a sketch book. The whole family can join in and you could discover your own artistic talents, surrounded by art from the professionals to inspire you.
Whichever day you visit, the weekend is the perfect chance to view striking artworks, meet the Artists, and learn the stories and inspiration behind their individual pieces. Come and join 4,000 other new and experienced art buyers and collectors at this creative, cultural and fun-filled art event.
The Fair will be held on 25th & 26th April 2015 at Rivermead Leisure Complex, Reading.
