The Club was founded in 1966 by the employees of the "AC Delco Spark Plug Overseas Corporation" Sports and Social Club. By 1968 the club was holding tournaments: The first Trinity shoot was on Trinity Sunday, 26th of May 1968 costing the princely sum of eight shillings (40 pence in todays money) to enter; Just prior to 1984/85 the Club was made open to The Public. From those early Days the Club has moved Grounds a few times until its present position at Highbridge Farm, which is Completly 'Disabled Friendly' Over the years AC DELCO BOWMEN ARCHERY CLUB increased its membership and has become one of the largest Archery clubs in Hampshire, and has had many of its Archers represent the County team, with many competing at National and International Tournaments. We are a very friendly Club and pride ourselves on being a Club promoting Diversity and Equality and welcome anyone who has an interest in Archery, whatever their level of ability if your returning to Archery, or complete Beginners who wish to learn Archery/ archery is the most naturally distanced sport, which combines the benefits of exercise and of stimulating the mind , alleviating mental health issues caused by stress etc . its a natural stress reliever
