I'm a small start up company having qualified last year with BCMB, I work from home within a room dedicated to the use of massage treatment (see website for details- with photos). I work with a variety of different people, from everyday ache and pains (ie lifting moving house or work related), to athletes with injury, as well as those just wishing to take time out to relax and recharge. With my knowledge, I can begin to address any muscle balances you may have and get you and your body back into shape and better condition.
I work with a recruitment company once a month as a perk to their company, as well as a variety of triathlon and runners.
I also work with those wishing to take time out from the busy lifestyle they have taken on. A time to relax and be in the moment. There is also a physiological reason why massage Is good for stress.
I work with the person and your needs. Usually beginning with a postural assessment and range of movement tests if appropriate, or this will be done while lying on the table, comparing each side for muscle stiffness.
I hope to be able to restore your energy and muscle conditions in a calming and safe environment, often people report a sense of feeling looser and well being after the first session. If an injury is present or long standing, this can sometimes take a bit longer, however by the 3rd session usually the body has begun to heal within the recovery process. With chronic conditions this can take longer, and I never aim to "fix" but to assist the healing process.
