From humble beginnings, duk was born in a deserted cellar lovingly restored into our quirky style bodega on Lancaster Road, Preston in 2006.
We quickly followed with a second venue “Pond” on Cannon Street in 2008.
Duk and pond soon became the most sought after restaurant venues in the North West.
Through the culinary innovation we fast became Lancashire’s premier tapas restaurants – winning Top tables gold award 2 years running, gaining Taste Lancashire Accreditation and being nominated for Gordon Ramsay’s best Local restaurant 2009 and 2010. and trip advisor excellence awards. Lancashire tourist board finalists 2013 and BiBas business awards finalists 2012/2013.
And Taste Lancashire Highest Quality Assured 2014/15
Due to popular demand and a creative instinct difficult to stop, we then merged duk and pond into a much larger building on Cross Street, Preston in 2011 to be now known as duk-pond.
With the addition of the deli at dukpond we have the same great quirky atmosphere for lunches and lighter bites with a contemporary twist … Peruvian flavour to savour in the heart of the city
Combined with our rich warm Peruvian and Arabic décor with quirky recycled furniture and a wealth of colours and textures to please the eye and relax the mind, provides an unusual back drop for our unique cuisine with the result always being a memorable culinary experience.
