In today's context of "Special Offers", our Discount Offer may not seem "a lot" but our prices are generally MUCH MUCH LOWER than anywhere else (unlike quite a large number of large retail organisations, who have the logistics & facilities to artificially raise prices in order to offer a never ending stream of all year round 25-50% Sales or "free making up offers" (with rubbish linings provided etc) to all comers thinking of using their services. It doesn't take a genius to work out that there is always a "catch". There always is!
For many NHS staff, they could never possibly conceive spending £500 on a house/flat's worth of curtains but in Scotland, many that move to our larger cities are often caught out by just how the tall & large the windows are in much of the cities period accommodation where windows are often 8'/2.5m tall - 12'/3.7m tall; these windows are too large to cope with standard sized ready made curtains (that are designed & only available for modern homes with maximum curtain heights of 230cms).

In that respect we are a "Unique Business for Scotland" but we also have the additional kudos of displaying far & away the largest collections of Tall Curtains (those over 9'/275cm in height) of anywhere in the UK & Europe.
Prices of curtains in our 2nd hand Displays are on average @1/3rd what they would normally cost New today and all curtains are vetted before we accept them (they are all sold on a commission basis for their owners)!
We also offer a large range of Discounted New Fabrics & with a small team of 6 local seamstresses, we offer a competitively priced quality Curtain & Blind Making & Alterations Service. Our combined pricing for extra tall large Curtains (those over 10'/3m and those requiring interlining to keep out those cold case & sash window draughts) are some of the lowest priced in the UK.
We regret we DO NOT OFFER an on-line service and ON A SERIOUS NOTE, WOULD CAUTION ANYONE ordering Made to Measure Curtains or Blinds from a Curtain/Blind Maker located 100 miles+ from your home. 5 years ago, our 2nd hand agency department used to receive about 1 brand new curtain pair a month week from disgruntled on line curtain purchasers. Today the Agency side receives on average about 5 new curtain sets a month and it continues to rise through so many naive bargain Hunters ordering curtains from computer screen photographs or only small fabric swatches that they sometimes provide through the post t.
DON'T DO IT! We see the consequences when things go wrong & go wrong THEY DO! The consequences can be Very Expensive & Time Consuming! If you read the small print from these on line marketeers, you will find that many of them do NOT OFFER a Full Refund Service (by Law on Made to Measure Commissions they do not have to) and even if they did, the shipping costs for large curtains and the hassle factor trying to touch base with companies only interested in making a sale and not taking the (sometimes poorly made) curtains back, makes a market TO AVOID
We only provide a Service to those who visit our Salesrooms; those who do, are often mesmerized by the huge numbers of curtains that they can see that we have in our displays & they welcome the chance to see the curtains in full before buying them (and not having to try to select from inaccurate colours on a computer screen of from a small swatch of fabric sent by post or provided to take to your home).
Our Approval Service of allowing any of the 2nd Hand Quality Curtains or any of our Made to Measure fully made up Curtain Samples & trying them in your home before committing to a "Full Purchase" is highly popular too. It helps to avoid the mistakes that so many appear to suffer from ordering from on-line curtain makers chasing business by offering to make up curtains at the cheapest prices available in the market!
