The house is grade 11* of special & historic interest. Built of local rubble stone mostly rendered, with ham stone dressings circa 1600.
Features include Ovolo mould and oak framed mullioned windows with square leaded panes, many with head moulds. The projecting north entrance also has a very old door with small side lights in the returns. Outside at the rear is a large old timber framed Granary Building. Key Farm House provides accommodation with modern facilities whilst retaining its impressive period features; including flagstone and wooden floors, ham stone and cast iron fireplaces and in the east drawing room some fine panelling circa 1700. There are lawned areas around the house which can be enjoyed when the weather permits. Yeovil is the commercial centre for the area and has an excellent range of amenities including shops, sports clubs, garages, and the old town of Sherborne with it's Abbey and other amenities is only eight miles distant.
