YOU & ME Yoga is a system of professional yoga training with a difference, it’s aimed at therapists and trainers working with clients with learning disabilities, their carers and parents. YOU & ME Yoga is specifically designed to aid the physical and mental development of SLD/PMLD clients with a wide range of abilities, right across the age range.
Author and teacher of YOU & ME Yoga, Maria Gunstone has taught Yoga to disabled people since 1978. To date, she has trained more than 2,500 staff in special schools, centres, colleges, hospitals and homes. The system was established in 1988 and has evolved into a highly specialised and sophisticated western system. Enabling the trainer to select yoga techniques precisely to meet the needs and abilities of individuals and groups, allowing them to get the very most from their yoga experience.
Nowadays, Maria offers a unique contact/online YOU & ME Yoga training programme, accompanied by user-friendly teaching materials, that means once learnt, it is simple to use. Training counts as CPD with optional qualification.
