The 65-seat restaurant is named in honour of two of Newcastle’s Victorian architectural stalwarts, John Dobson and William Parnell, who designed the original building in 1863.
The menus change daily depending on the freshest produce we can find and use ethically-sourced local, seasonal produce direct from nearby farms and markets. There is a strong focus on sustainability and the kitchen team specialises in preserving techniques such as curing, smoking, salting, brining and fermenting.
The restaurant is open Tuesday-Sunday serving lunch and dinner. At lunchtimes, you’ll find our popular small plate offering from Tuesday-Saturday and a fantastic roast on a Sunday. From 5.30pm you can enjoy our evening menu with an excellent value 3-course menu for £25 early weekday evenings as well as an à la carte and our 5 or 7-course Tasting Menus.
