Joys Cottage Intercultural Counselling offers you the opportunity to talk about the issues that are affecting your everyday life, and gives you the time and space to explore your options and inner resources to help you to make positive changes in your life. Joys Cottage Counselling can help you to reach a deeper understanding of yourself and your thoughts, feelings and actions and it can help you to clarify your situation, and gain new confidence and control in your life. Family Therapy enables family members, couples and others who care about each other to express and explore difficult thoughts and emotions safely, to understand each other’s experiences and views, appreciate each other’s needs, build on strengths and make useful changes in their relationships and their lives. Individuals can find Family Therapy helpful, as an opportunity to reflect on important relationships and find ways forward. Counselling young people involves helping children to develop a positive attitude to life, recognise their strengths and express themselves. It does not involve making decisions for them, imposing beliefs on them or preaching. It is a space where they can feel listened to, welcomed, accepted and understood. Common issues are: - Low self-steem. - Peer issues. - Family issues. - Eating disorders. - Self-harm. - Bullying.
